How do you make a difference?

Do you ever get overwhelmed thinking about all of the ways you want to improve your life? Not saying that your life isn't fulfilling and beautiful in many ways already, but we are always wanting more, right? I have always been driven and goal-oriented. I also love routines and making sense of things. But something I've always struggled with is obtaining more than one goal at a time, or even simply making strides towards multiple goals a time. It has been easier for me to be solo-focused. For example, when I was first working on my health journey I was solely focused on the nutrition piece and didn't "burden" myself with exercise goals. I wanted to fully commit to my nutrition goals and once those were reached then I would start exercising. I'm sure you can gather where that got me with my exercise goals, ha. Nowhere fast. Because I never committed to the exercise piece, it was always just lingering like a "I'll get to it when..." and when never came. I'm using exercise as an example but here are a few more things would make me feel like I am making improvements in all areas of my life but have seemed difficult to maintain, let me know if this feels like something you can relate to:

  • Actually following a skincare regimen day AND night

  • Taking my supplements every day

  • Regular chores around the house

  • Doing my laundry AND putting it away

  • Regularly seeing friends and family

  • Regularly spending quality time with my husband and son

  • Fulfilling my to-do list for work

  • Meal planning

  • Makes the meals I planned

  • Watering my plants so they don't die

The list goes on and on and on. So why am I sharing this? First, to let you know that you are very much not alone and that there is something to be celebrated here. We need to celebrate that we are wanting to make a difference in our lives and therefore make a difference in the lives of others. We want to "imagine living life differently" - Oola.

This is why I joined Oola. This is why I add my daily actions in the action tracker every day. I want to make small steps towards living my life differently! I don't want to just work on one goal at a time. I don't want to bed feeling like a productive employee but a shit mother. I don't want to constantly feel like I am dropping the ball or making sacrifices towards reaching my goals.

I want the feeling of controlling the things I can and knowing that I am making progress in lots of areas, not just ONE. Oola is helping me do this. Oola is getting me to live my life differently, to make strides in all areas of my life and to spread that encouragement to others. So if you are ready to do something different this time around, I encourage you to check out Oola. I am an open-book and am happy to talk with you and answer any questions.
